2. Who were the Latin American victims of the Baltimore Bridge?
They worked the night shift repairing potholes on Baltimore's famous Francis Scott Key Bridge, which 30,000 Marylanders relied on every day. But their work led to tragedy early Tuesday morning, when a cargo ship weighing more than 96,600 tons crashed into the bridge, plunging the construction workers (citizens of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras) into the dangerously cold water. Officers let them go and recovered two bodies.
3. Argentina moves ahead with purchase of F-16s from Denmark
The Argentine government has signed a deal to buy 24 F-16 fighter jets from Denmark. The Ministry of Defense confirmed this Tuesday that Minister Louis Petrie and his Danish counterpart, Troels Lund Poulsen, signed a document in Buenos Aires to move forward with the acquisition.
