‘Influencer’ and TikTok star Brandon Mondrell lost his life this Friday in the middle of a shooting at a supermarket in New Orleans (USA), where he was visiting for the Christmas holidays.

The comedian, known as ‘Boogie B’, was parked in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Rose Market store in the Warehouse District when the tragedy occurred. While her grandmother was waiting to pick up Christmas groceries from the supermarket, she was struck by a stray bullet from a shootout between two men, Fox8 reports.

News of the 43-year-old Mandrell’s death spread on social media Friday night, although his identity was only revealed Saturday afternoon after being confirmed by his family and a lawyer.

“My son was not a victim of a stray bullet. “He was the victim of decades of neglect that left the youth of New Orleans with no hope for the future and no real fear of consequences,” his mother Sherlyn Price said in a statement.

According to a relative of the comedian, Mondrell moved to Los Angeles to pursue his entertainment career, but decided to return to his hometown in Louisiana to spend the holidays with his mother and grandmother.

For their part, the police have identified two suspects considered dangerous in the murder. Photographs of them and their vehicle were pasted.
