A 17-year-old girl has been charged with first-degree murder for stabbing her baby after giving birth alone while traveling with her family to Colorado.
According to the Denver ABC7 newspaper, the young woman, identified as Leila Zepeda of Hispanic descent, testified to police in Nunn & Alt that she was not sure she was pregnant, but said on several occasions. Tests were done and they were negative.
