Sony is looking for a PC director to "bring the best of PlayStation to channels around the world"

Sony is looking for a Senior Manager for PC Hardware Planning and Strategy.

The new center – which will take place inside PlayStation Global and, despite the pandemic, insists the successful candidate relocate to California – wants to “bring the best PlayStation experiences to markets and channels around the world,” suggesting that Sony may be willing to further enhance its PC presence.


The successful candidate will be responsible for strategy and business activity within global channel sales and will present a single business plan, enhanced PC sales growth, and a business plan for hub and territory teams to implement [and] Defining future sectors and partnerships for business growth,” the job announcement read (Thanks, computer games). “The plan should support delivery of critical metrics for agreed global channel sales.”

Responsibilities include leading PC growth and business strategy, MAU development for PC content, development and implementation of global PC Store strategy and operation, and we have some ardent fans anticipating that we may eventually see simultaneous releases of Sony games on both PlayStation and PC systems.

The list comes after PlayStation launches a new name for PC ports At the end of last year and follows the arrival of God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Death Stranding on PC. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, of course, is coming in Unknown: The Legacy of Thieves Group later this year.
