New images released of fire at migrant center in Mexico (+ videos)

A month after the fire that claimed the lives of 40 migrants, a new 16-minute recording has been released that captures the moments before the incident and shows that neither immigration agents nor guards did anything to put out the fire. Migrants also queue for water and food. Then the migrants started their protest and approached the door. At that time, they could only watch the watchman sitting on the chair doing nothing.

After several minutes, the migrants begin placing mats to cover the area, which the guard does nothing to stop.

In the face of resistance, the situation begins to spiral out of control and the security guard asks the immigration staff for support. One of the immigration agents jumps on the table and starts talking to the immigrants, removing the mats, but to no avail.

In the room, smoke starts to be felt from the cell and the migration staff take no action to extinguish the source of the fire and they limit themselves only to talking to the migrants and their radios.

When the station was filled with smoke, both the guard holding the cell phone key and the migration agent quietly left the place and detained the migrants.

Within seconds, the security cameras stop recording what is happening due to the amount of smoke that prevents the sharpness of the images.
