Amazon just revealed a deeply discounted bundle that includes a Ring Video Doorbell and an Echo Pop speaker for just $40, though. The deal is exclusive to Prime members. Finally, that’s $65 off the regular price, where the Ring Video Doorbell usually costs $65 and the Echo Pop usually comes in at $40. In other words, you’re getting an Echo Pop for free.
There is only one caveat here. This deal is only good for a wired doorbell, so put those wireless video doorbell dreams out of your head. There are other deals available for a wire doorbell as part of our Prime Day early celebration. You can buy it outright for $35 or pair it with a Ring Chime notification device for $60. These discounted packages are available now, but only through June 26th. Prime Day officially begins on July 11th and runs through July 12th.
Ring’s video doorbell has been widely praised for being easy to use, with an HD camera perfect for screening visitors, though a wired connection is required. The Echo Pop is Amazon’s latest smart speaker, with a hemispherical design that’s great for smaller living spaces. It also pairs with mesh routers and features the company’s AZ2 Neural Edge machine learning processor.
This is just an opening jab in the upcoming onslaught of Prime Day deals, but it’s definitely a great start for those looking to save a few bucks on gadgets.
