Russia shot down five Ukrainian warplanes and 19 drones | News

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Monday that air traffic and anti-aircraft security had shot down five more fighter jets and 19 Ukrainian drones on the last day of special military operations in the region.

“Russian Air Force air traffic and anti-aircraft defense, shot down four Ukrainian air force Su-24 fighter jets in the air in the province of Chernikov. Donetsk,” Konashenkov said.

According to the official, 19 drones and five planes shot down by several rocket launchers took place in the southern Ukrainian province of Gershon. Four Ukrainian aircraft are Su-24s and one is a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter aircraft owned by the Air Force.

In turn, an air strike disrupted 36 military targets, including two command centers, three arsenals, two missile systems and several rocket launchers, in addition to military equipment and two fuel depots for military use concentrated in 23 areas.

Since the start of the militarization and militarization of Ukraine on February 24, Russian forces have neutralized more than 300 drones, more than 1,700 tanks and other equipment.



A total of 308 drones, 1,713 tanks and other armored vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special operation, a security spokesman said. It put an end to 170 multiple rocket launchers, 715 rifles and motors in addition to 1,557 military cars.

For their part, troops from the Lukansk People’s Republic advanced five kilometers in one attack and captured two cities: Ivanovka and Novosatovoe.
