Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection returns with the first patch after a disastrous launch

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection developer Aspyr has released the game's first post-launch update.

The first update, now available for the Battlefront Classic Collection on Steam and in the process of being submitted and approved for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, makes a number of changes to multiplayer, control systems, visuals and audio, and fixes bugs and crashes.

It's worth noting that the changes listed for Hero Assault, which include rebalanced Asajj Ventress abilities and Kit Fisto fixes, are unrelated to the high-profile Battlefront 2 mod that Aspyr allegedly used in creating the Classic kit despite promising not to. to.

The mod's creator, iamashaymin, told IGN that the patch notes indicate that this update has nothing to do with his mod. Instead, the patch resolves new issues with the two characters' Aspyr implementation.

The disastrous release of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection resulted in a “very negative” user review rating on Steam. Last week, Aspry issued a statement addressing the botched launch, saying it had encountered “catastrophic errors” in its network infrastructure. This resulted in “incredibly high” ping, matchmaking errors, crashes, and servers not showing up in the browser.

In conjunction with the release of the first update, Asper said It is continuing to make server-side tweaks to improve the online multiplayer experience, as well as planning for Update II. Meanwhile, modders are working on fixing Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection themselves.
