Simon Cowell breaks ‘America’s Got Talent’ rule in drone show

America’s Got Talent Judge Simon Cowell made a big move in the second round of auditions on Tuesday when he used his second Golden Buzzer of the season.

The device is what judges turn to when they want to send work straight to the live shows, bypassing the votes of the panel, which also includes Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara. Offer done advertisement There will be a change in March, but the public is seeing it happen now.

Cowell decided to take this unprecedented step – he buzz in to amazing singer Liv Warfield earlier in the same episode – when he saw the group Sky Elements perform. The six-man group from Dallas explained that they needed the billboard out, because their performance was too big for the building: a choreographed drone light show that represented a rocket launch and featured Cowell as an astronaut.

When Cowell went to smash the golden button, the referees called him out.

“I already did it!” Mandel Cowell stated.

Meanwhile, Klum gestured to the crew, saying, “This is his second!”

Someone from production even came over to ask Simon what he was doing.

Cowell’s defense was that he had to do it: “I thought, why not? I mean, there’s nothing in the rules that says we can’t.”

He was told that he actually was there. The moment was saved when it was quickly decided that the other rulers would receive two Golden Buzzers as well, which seemed to please everyone.
