The agreement was signed during a visit to Nicaragua by Russian Security Council Secretary General Nikolai Patrushev at the end of last February.

Earlier, on January 18, a decree was published on the official legal information portal of Moscow, according to which the Russian agency reported that Russia will provide assistance to Nicaragua in the field of retraining and training of law enforcement officers.

“The parties intend to cooperate in the retraining and development of the law enforcement officers of the Republic of Nicaragua,” the document states.
