Overwatch 2 moves into D&D mode for Season 5 with the Questwatch campaign

Overwatch 2 moves into D&D mode for Season 5 with the Questwatch campaign

Monitoring 2, after exploring its version of Star Wars with the Starwatch Season 4 mode, turns into fantasy for Season 5, with new battle pass gameplay like the Dungeons & Dragons campaign and new modes like a magical Prop Hunt called Mischief and Charm. Of course, the required hero skins—some paid, some free—come in Season 5 of the Monitoring 2 It is also fictionalized, featuring Lúcio as a poet, Orisa reimagined as a griffon character, and Zenyatta dressed in magical robes.

Blizzard Entertainment revealed on Monday that the season 5 battle pass will play somewhat differently than it did in the past Monitoring 2 seasons. We already know that this season’s Mythic Skin, Adventurer Tracer, will be distributed in three stages instead of all at once at level 80 of the Battle Pass. The Season 5 battle pass is designed like a tabletop role-playing campaign, called Questwatch.

“Tracer, along with her trusted companion GR-iffon Orisa, sets out to explore the magical kingdom of Overland to become a knight,” Blizzard said in a blog post on Monday. “They will meet both friends and foes, as they look to save Queen Emily and her kingdom from the terror of the demon lord Reinhardt. As you unlock levels in the Season 5 Battle Pass, you will also unlock new chapters in the role-playing adventure.”

As players progress through that adventure (and battle pass), they’ll unlock cosmetics like Slime Queen Echo, Royal Guard Genji, and Demon Lord Reinhardt, some of which you can see in the gallery below.

Season 5 will also introduce the first ever creator-made game mode Monitoring 2Blizzard says. The mode, called “Defeat the Demon Lord,” pits a team of four heroes against Demon Lord Reinhart in a 1v4 Team Deathmatch. This is joined by Mischief and Magic modes in Season 5, which launches on July 25th. Playing the 5v5 elimination mode will allow players to unlock an Epic skin for Ana and earn 50,000 experience points in battle.

On the non-fiction front, the Summer Games are back Monitoring 2 with a twist. Yes, Lúcioball is back, and it’s joined by a new sport: Winston’s Beach Volleyball. There will be Summer Games-themed event challenges that unlock a tropical-themed Doomfist skin and 50,000 battle experience points. Blizzard is also teasing a new summer look for Mercy that “is sure to make a splash.” Nations….

Monitoring 2 Season 5 will also see the return of the previous game’s “on fire” system, as it did several times in the trailer above. There are also balance changes featured, with power nerfs to Junker Queen and one-shot kill champions Cassidy, Hanzo, and Widowmaker. Lifeweaver will also be getting a boost as previously explained by game director Aaron Keeler.

When does Overwatch 2 season 5 start?

Blizzard will start the new season of Monitoring 2 On Tuesday 13 June. Players can expect Season 5 to go live around 11AM PDT / 2PM EST. This means that Monday, June 12th is the last full day for Monitoring 2 Season 4, so if you have any Season Challenges or Battle Pass levels left, now is the time.
