NVIDIA RTX 4080 16GB tested in 3DMark

Benchmark results involving the alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB card have now been published Chevel forums.

The first thing to mention is that we are not sure how someone will get a driver that supports this RTX 4080 16GB soon. This card is not expected to be released until next month and as far as we know, there are no drivers for this card yet.

However, the screenshots show a GPU with a boost clock of 2505MHz and 76 compute units, in this case the multiprocessor stream, and the leaker clearly shows that this card is an RTX 4080. Moreover, we can see that it tops out at 53620 GFLOPS , which will be slightly higher than what NVIDIA promised for the RTX 4080 16GB.

The results are very good, in fact, the GPU is already the fastest GPU in the 3DMARK rating. The alleged RTX 4080 scored 17,465 and 13,977 graphics points in FireStrike Extreme and TimeSpy Extreme respectively, which puts it at the top of the list.

The leaker also published the result of Intel XeSS and Port Royal.

Furthermore, benchmarks from actual games such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider have also been published.

NVIDIA has announced two GPUs RTX 4080, the 16GB variant providing more cores and more memory. The device allegedly tested has 9,728 CUDA cores and an AD103 GPU, while the 12GB variant has 7,680 cores and an AD104 GPU. Both models are slated to launch at the same time next month, but a release date has yet to be announced.
