Microsoft is back with a new Xbox showcase this week, highlighting games from third-party studios and publishers. The Xbox Partner Preview included a new look at games like Capcom's Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, action-RPG Khazan: The First from Nexon, and more in a 30-minute broadcast.
This was a focused live stream, with new game reveals, release date announcements, and new gameplay for upcoming titles headed to Xbox consoles and PC.
Focused livestreams like this have been surprisingly plentiful in 2024, with Nintendo recently hosting a new live episode focusing on third-party games and its Pokemon Presents event, while Sony's January State of Play was headlined by Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, and Death. Stranded 2: On the Beach.
The Xbox Developer Direct conference was also held at the beginning of the year and provided a new look at upcoming games such as Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, Visions of Mana, and Ara: History Untold. Not long ago, a podcast dedicated to Xbox also confirmed the company's plan to bring four of its first-party games to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.
