The Eagles exchange Ugo Amadi with the Titans 9 days after their acquisition

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – Ugo Amadi has spent most of his time as an eagle in Cleveland.

Now he is already gone.

The Eagles last Wednesday brought the young defensive back to the Tennessee Titans in the 2024 late-round picks swap.

The deal comes just nine days after the Eagles acquired Amadi in a deal with Seahawks for JJ Arcega-Whiteside on August 15. Amadi trained on both days last week in Cleveland and played 33 shots in the second preseason game against the Browns. . Amadi received four interventions on Sunday.

In a roundabout way, this is basically Howie Roseman’s trade away from Arcega-Whiteside in exchange for drawdown compensation. The Eagles were going to cut JJAW and the Seahawks were going to cut Amadi. These are all simple moves but Rosman basically turned nothing into something.

But it also means that 25-year-old Amadi is already on his way.

“It wasn’t difficult with the defense,” Amadi said after the match. “In terms of defense, most of the defense is universal. Just some minor tweaks to it. Now, I’ve moved from one bird to another.”

The Eagles reduced their squad to 80 players before Tuesday’s deadline. Now, they are down to 79 players based on the roster. The Eagles technically have 80 players but DE Matt Leo still has an international exemption. However, the roster should drop to 53 players by 4pm next Tuesday.
