Artwork, “MetaFork is on the way,” It is a 30-foot-tall statue that weighs 4,500 pounds. Gill noted that steel fitting is the classic metaphor for the defining moment in life when one has to make a choice.
The sculpture installation is planned to be permanently located at Tesla’s Bay Area Autopilot and AI office in Palo Alto, California. Leggitt displayed an eccentric fork at Burning Man 2022. The entire statue is constructed from 3/8″ and 1/2′ hot-dip galvanized steel sheet.
On his website, Leggett said the concept behind the installation and the idea of bringing it to Burning Man was thought four weeks before the event.
Elon Musk has said he likes reverse hair to make metaphors literal. “There’s a giant 30-foot (literally) fork in the road outside the autopilot office in Palo Alto,” Tweeted. Gill noted that the Age of Transformation – the time we all live in, can be considered that giant thorn in the road.
“Most people today did not grow up with smartphones, but now we use smartphones every day. We did not grow up with pivoting robots, and they will be popular in the future. Same goes for Optimus, none of us consider daily life normal with a robot yet, but someday We may choose this path.
