Samsung Internet 19.0 beta finally brings Chrome bookmarks sync

Samsung’s mobile internet browser is getting a new beta update, and it’s a pretty big update! with Samsung Internet 19.0 beta, the company finally addresses one of the major vulnerabilities of the browser and adds new options for syncing bookmarks from Google Chrome (computer). Moreover, the latest beta version improves private browsing with improved smart anti-tracking and phishing detection tools.

One of the reasons why many PC users don’t use Samsung Internet on their Galaxy phones and tablets very often is that the mobile browser makes it very difficult to sync Google Chrome bookmarks across the platform. However, with the beta version of Samsung Internet 19.0, users can now access and sync Chrome bookmarks on their phone and Samsung Internet bookmarks on their Chrome PC browser through Samsung Internet Chrome Extension with relative ease.

Samsung Internet add-ons now work in discreet mode

Here’s another much-needed change introduced by Samsung Internet 19.0 beta: Add-ons can now run in secret mode. Prior to version 19.0, add-ons were disabled in secret mode, which meant that internet users had to choose between the privacy of secret mode and a more personalized experience. Now users can have both.

Moreover, Samsung Internet 19.0 beta expands on some smart anti-tracking improvements Version 18.0 beta introduced. In addition, the new Internet beta improves phishing-like detection to prevent users from visiting fraudulent websites designed to mimic legitimate sites.

Offer improved privacy and anti-phishing

Samsung Internet 19.0 beta also adds a new privacy information feature in the form of a file Lock Code in the address bar. Users can click this icon to quickly check the security of the connection to the sites they visit, see how many trackers are blocked, check cookies, and get instant site, camera and microphone access permissions.

And last but not least, Samsung Internet ad blockers are now accompanied by a chart that helps users visualize how many ads are being blocked per day and per week.
