Mexico's body recovered from Baltimore bridge collapse

Mexican Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena has announced that the body of Mexican worker Carlos Daniel Hernandez, who died in an accident on the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA, has been recovered.

“The body of Mexican-born Carlos Daniel Hernandez, who worked on the Baltimore Key Bridge bridge that collapsed on March 26, has been recovered. Carlos Daniel represents our Mexican workers in the United States. “Our deepest condolences and diplomatic support go out to his family,” he added.

In its X account, the Mexican Embassy in Washington said Baltimore County officials informed them this Monday that the body of a second Mexican worker who unfortunately lost his life in the tragedy had been recovered.

“As you may recall, the third comrade was rescued alive and is recovering. The Consular Section of the Mexican Embassy will continue to be in close contact with the families of these three workers, providing them with all consular support and assistance necessary,” the email said.
