“Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness has reportedly refused to work with some of his co-stars, according to a report. Rolling Stone revealed Published Tuesday.

“He didn't want to share the spotlight with anyone at all,” a member of the show's production team told the outlet. “There were times when we couldn't even shoot scenes with some of the Fab Five members together because it got so bad.”

The source noted that there was “absolute tension between” stars Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France and Antoni Porowski as well, but Van Ness was the main contributor.

Supporting this claim was a statement made by another member of the production, who said that the mood of the 36-year-old hairstylist often dictated the atmosphere of the entire set.

The person claimed: “When he comes to the set, everything changes if he is in a bad mood.” “Working with him is very difficult in any capacity.”

At least three other people described Van Ness, who identifies as non-binary, as an emotionally “abusive” person with “anger issues,” while others told Rolling Stone that he acted like a “monster,” a “nightmare” and was “degrading.”

Another person close to the production claimed that there was a “real sense of fear around them when they get angry.”

“It's almost like a cartoon where he comes out of it,” the person also claimed. “It's intense and scary.”

While Netflix executives reportedly had at least one meeting with Van Ness about their troubling behavior, they allegedly carried on as usual when they returned to set.

A representative for the TV personality did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment on the accusations.

Despite the disturbing statements made about Van Ness, a source who has previously worked with them told Rolling Stone that they can be a pleasure to be around sometimes.

“Jonathan is a people person who has the ability to be very warm and very charismatic, and he has the ability to make you feel really special because they care about you,” they noted.

They added: “But at least once a day, they will need to shout at someone. It may be a small thing, but there will always be someone to point it out and blame and make them the villain of the day.

The Rolling Stone exposé isn't the first time the cracks in the beloved Netflix series have been highlighted.

In January, Burke, 42, revealed he had a falling out with France, 40, behind the scenes.

“Tan and I had a moment,” he told Vanity Fair. “There was a situation between me and Tan, which had nothing to do with the show.”

“It was personal, it wasn't anything romantic, just to make that clear,” he added.

However, they appear to have moved on from the drama, as Burke said he and France “embraced each other” at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on January 7.

By then, Burke had already announced his departure from “Queer Eye” after eight seasons to pursue other projects.

Although the Fab Five seemed to be best friends during the show's early seasons, a production insider told Rolling Stone that they live “completely different lives.”

“Their relationships have definitely changed since season one,” another member of the production explained.

“As in all workplaces, over time, people grow closer to some people and further apart from others.”

Another production source said fans shouldn't be at all surprised by their ties being torn apart.

“They were basically a group of people put together in their mid-30s and told to be best friends. But people don't expect Queer Eye to be that way.

“That's what it was really like: a manufactured boy band with big personalities that some people were into and some people weren't, and then eventually… [things] “It turned out to be really toxic.”
