Joe Flacco: I'll help Anthony Richardson simplify the game and play quickly

Joe Flacco doesn't have the same skill set that Anthony Richardson brought to the field with him, but the Colts' new quarterback doesn't believe that will hinder his ability to contribute to his new teammate's progress as a player.

Flacco agreed to terms with the Colts last week and officially became a member of the team on Friday. In a press conference to discuss the signing, Flacco said he has learned over the course of his 16-year career that midfielders who succeed “play fast because they either do it naturally or they just kind of simplify things to the max.” Point out that they don't worry about every little thing.

He believes he can help Richardson do that after the younger quarterback's rookie season ended early due to a shoulder injury.

“It's about to Being in the room “It's a big deal,” Flacco said, via Joel A. Ericsson from the site Indianapolis Star. “Being able to bring experience and help him simplify things and come out and play fast and use his skills the way he wants to.”

Flacco showed he can still play for the Browns last season and helped the team make the playoffs, but his impact on the Colts will be much greater if he can help Richardson become a regular starter in Indianapolis.
