Helldivers 2 players liberate Malevelon Creek in hours to recover from one of the largest major order failures

Helldivers 2 players liberate Malevelon Creek in hours to recover from one of the largest major order failures

Developer Arrowhead Studios has delivered a new boss command to Helldivers 2 players, giving them a 24-hour window to finally reclaim Malevelon Creek. The planet was liberated in only about five hours.

The game level mission was: Sent across the galaxy today, and it didn't take fans long to prepare and enter. It's something that presented an opportunity to turn the tide of the war against one of Super Earth's greatest enemies, but it also gave fans a chance to restore their pride.

“For several weeks, our citizens have watched in horror as Maleflon Creek falls into the hands of the droids,” the Master Order ordered. “Millions of brave heroes have died trying to defend it. For too long, the robots have maintained their illegal occupation, desecrating the memory of the victims by rapidly depleting the planet’s exceptionally rich rhodium deposits. This farce will no longer be allowed to continue.”

He continues: “Avenge the fallen. Honoring our heroes. Put an end to the theft of precious metals. Free Maleflon.”

For those who have yet to delve into the misty terrain of Malevelon Creek, you should know that it is covered in cold, robotic warriors armed to the teeth. With robotic soldier camps polluting almost every hill and plant life dotting the battlefield, the location provides players with a significant challenge – especially on higher difficulties.

It's the same low-visibility environment that gave Helldivers 2 fans the most important failed boss command yet. The previous mission had arrived several weeks earlier and had asked the soldiers to control the site and not leave any prisoners behind. But they were unsuccessful, as the Helldivers were unable to liberate Malevelon Creek within the time limit. The mission was such a disappointing endeavor that fans are still posting “Remember Malevelon Creek” memes, as if they suffered a losing battle in the real world. When Arrowhead offered them a chance at redemption, they cared about every second.

“Malevelon Creek is finally free,” says a celebratory in-game message. “The heroes who died defending it can finally rest in peace, knowing that justice has been served, and the planet's rhodium deposits will be mined by the citizens who rightfully own them. The colonists return to the ruins of their settlements, shovels in hand, hopeful for a prosperous future. Because at last the dawn is breaking.” On a free schedule.”

Despite the victory over Malifon Creek, the Helldivers did not receive the 35 medals they were initially promised as a reward. Instead, the main command has been updated, now requiring players to turn their focus to Ubanea for a reward of 40 medals. They will then need to hold their ground until the order expires in two and a half days to finally claim what could be a huge win over the Automata.

While Helldivers 2 players focus on maintaining control of the Severin Sector, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt is looking to take a new approach to galactic warfare that could give fans a more satisfying experience. One thing players wanted more clarity on is how supply lines work in-game. Many players may not realize that it is a feature that essentially allows Helldivers to strategize and prevent enemy reinforcements from breaking up the party.

The problem is that many feel that supply lines are not clearly communicated in Helldivers 2 @HelldiversAlert Spotted a fan-made solution from Reddit user TheKrzysiek Explains how the feature can be updated.

It was well received among followers on social media, including Billstedt himself. The creative director even went so far as to say that TheKrzysiek's demo isn't far off from Arrowhead's previous idea.

“It's surprisingly close to what we had in the previous game,” he said. job. “But we wanted to visualize all the supply lines and it became very crowded. We're talking about making this more visible internally in the studio.

It's unclear how major commands will unfold in the future, but it's clear that Arrowhead is working around the clock to keep players on their toes. With the latest main quest still out, be sure to read our review, where we gave the game a 9/10. At the time, we said: “Helldivers 2's combat looks great, its missions remain fresh and interesting, and its clever progression system doesn't bore you.”
