With their final selection for the 2022 NBA edition, the Warriors picked Brazilian forward Gui Santos at No. 55.
The 20-year-old was probably hidden by the warriors outside.
Listed at 6-foot-8, 210 pounds per ESPN, Santos played four seasons for Minas at Novo Basketball Brazil (NBB).
During the 2021-22 seasonSantos averaged 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 25.7 in Minas’ 37 games.
Here’s what ESPN’s NBA Project Analyst Jonathan Givoni wrote about Santos:
“A long-armed, strong-framed winger who has made huge improvements in the past two seasons in Brazil, Santos has a great combination of flexibility, aerodynamics and fitness in attacking the edge, while constantly competing both defensively and on the glass. Santos is not yet consistent enough as a shooter and is still developing into a leading goalscorer. More comprehensive. He has handled the ball more this season and has shown great strides with his passing ability.”

While Santos is a pull-and-hide player, the Warriors have picked two players who might be able to help them next season with first-round picks Patrick Baldwin Jr. (#28) and second-round player Ryan Rollins (#44).
