Acclaim Lighting Introduces New Generation Dyna Drum HO; White Version Boasts Over 1 Million Center Candela

Acclaim Lighting -- Dyna Drum HO- second generation RGBW version

Acclaim Lighting of Los Angeles, California USA, has introduced the second generation of its Dyna Drum HO. According to Acclaim, the new Dyna Drum HO features a new chipset and optic system that the company engineered from the ground up.

This high-power floodlight now offers higher energy efficiency than the previous generation. It also boasts class-leading output in both white and quad-color LED versions. The white version achieves more than one million center candela, while reducing power consumption by 20 percent compared to the previous version.

The floodlight can also come with Acclaim’s Spectrum Technology (QS version), which employs Dyna Drum HO’s quad color chip to enable better color mixing. Unlike other color mixing technologies, the quad color chip can create pastels and dynamic whites from the same fixture. Its single color series also now includes a new Red, Green, Blue, Amber and White (RGBAW) option, which adds to the existing RGBW, RGBA, and Dynamic White options.

Luxeon High Power

Color Version Comes Standard with 10º Beam Angle, White with 5º Beam Angle

Dyna Drum HO Color delivers light with a standard beam angle of 10º degrees, while Dyna Drum HO White features a standard 5º beam angle. Both floodlights have an optional quick-change 20º, 40º, 60º, and 10º x 60º spread lens options for floodlight applications requiring broader light distribution. The 3500K white version of the floodlight offers up to 16,418 lumens while consuming 200 watts. This translates to a respectable efficacy of over 82 lumens per watt (LPW) despite the extremely high output and center candela.

In addition to the other improvements, Dyna Drum HO now features an onboard DMX+RDM driver that has Acclaim’s Aria wireless DMX technology and rear OLED display with full-text readout. With the technology of this driver, a single hybrid cable carries both the power and data for the floodlight.

The IP66-rated Dyna Drum HO fixture comes with die-cast aluminum housing and a glass top lens. In addition, the company says that an optional marine coating makes it suitable for even the harshest outdoor environments. While a gray finish is standard for the floodlight, either black, white, or custom finishes are also available. Acclaim Lighting backs the Dyna Drum HO with a five-year warranty.
