2019 DOE SSL R&D Workshop

Lighting scientists continue to come up with breakthrough innovations in LED and OLED technology that drive the limits of energy-efficient lighting higher and higher. At the same time, new frontiers in lighting raise important considerations for lighting and related energy savings in the next century.

Join the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from January 29–31, 2019, in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, for three packed days of expert speakers, lively discussion, and nonstop networking at the 2019 DOE Solid-State Lighting Research and Development Workshop.

Luxeon High Power

The workshop will convene top lighting experts from universities, national labs, and companies large and small, as well as thought leaders from across several industries to:

  • Connect some of our nation’s brightest to collaborate and discuss the current state and future of the industry
  • Dissect complex science and technology challenges facing the solid-state lighting industry
  • Share updates on federally funded R&D projects at the poster session
