Bodies begin to freeze, freeze, and partially thaw.
This Saturday, January 7, a gruesome discovery was recorded aboard an Avianca flight from Chile.
While preparing to carry out routine maintenance on the landing gear which is carried out every 10 days, two bodies were found in the forward landing area inside the left and right main gear storage compartments.
The flight’s route tracking indicates that it departed Bogotá on Thursday, January 5th for Guarulhos Brazil at 4:00pm, leaving Guarulhos for Bogota on Friday, January 6th at 5:00am, Santiago de Chile. Departed Santiago de Chile on January 6th at 6:05am and returned to Bogotá this Friday at 08:00pm.
The bodies were found around 9:00 pm on the same Friday.
The last maintenance of this aircraft was carried out on 27th December. Both bodies are frostbitten, frozen and beginning to partially thaw, with burns on the left train body.
