Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles - LT Donovan Smith and WR Chris Goodwin avoid serious injuries

ARLINGTON, Texas – Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Todd Bulls said Monday that Buccaneers’ tackle left Donovan Smith He has an overextended right elbow and its availability will be determined by his level of pain tolerance.

Bowles also said he doesn’t believe in the Pro Bowl’s wide receiver Chris GoodwinThe hamstring injury – which he suffered in the second quarter – is “as serious as we thought”.

It was Goodwin’s first game since recovering from a ruptured ACL and MCL, which he suffered on December 19 last season, and underwent surgery on January 3.

“It all depends on how he treats him and how he heals,” Bowles said of Goodwin. “But we hope to have it back sooner rather than later.”

Smith left the Boss’ 19-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the second quarter after a Micah Parsons sack and did not return.

“It’s very painful now,” Bowles said of Smith, who started his left-handed tackle in his eighth season. “We’ll be watching him during the week.”

The Bulls said he could play Smith this week.

“We’ll see how he feels, yeah,” said Bowles.

The Bucs face Saints on the road this week and haven’t had a regular win in the new season in New Orleans since September 9, 2018.

The Saints’ defense largely dictated the outcome of recent games against Buck, as New Orleans claimed a 9-0 victory in Tampa last season.
