New Delhi:

The makers of the highly anticipated movie Vikram Veda They released a statement on Monday, explaining that the film was shot in India extensively, in Uttar Pradesh specifically, and that the film’s “creative talents” – that is, the actors – had no power to decide on production and budget. Reliance Entertainment, the film’s co-producers, confirmed that a portion of the film was filmed in Abu Dhabi, stating that it is the only location available that provides the infrastructure for the bio-bubble at a given time. The statement came after several reports claiming that Vikram Veda Actor Hrithik Roshan refused to shoot in Uttar Pradesh and urged the photo makers to shoot in Dubai instead.

A Reliance Entertainment statement called the reports “misleading and completely baseless,” stressing that many of the Vikram Veda It was filmed in India and those filming locations include Lucknow, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The statement described attempts to “distort” the facts as “harmful and unreal.” The statement also clarified that suggestions are welcome on the part of the actor, but that “production and budget decisions are a central prerogative.”

The statement shared by Reliance Entertainment on Twitter read, “We have noticed a lot of misleading and absolutely baseless reports about Vikram Veda Filming locations. Obviously we want to say that Vikram Veda It was filmed extensively in India, including Lucknow. Part of the film was shot in the United Arab Emirates from October to November of 2021 as it was the only location providing the infrastructure for a bio-bubble that accommodated a crew of this size, also allowing for sets to be built in a studio during the months prior to filming. We chose to do this out of health and protocol concerns. It is clear that any attempts to distort this set of facts are harmful and dishonest. Also, we would like to emphatically emphasize that at Reliance Entertainment while we welcome suggestions of creative talent, production and budget decisions are a central privilege.”
