Colombian officials say Congress-elected Pedro Cர்டrdoba is being held at the Comagua airport, which serves the city of Tegucigalpa in Honduras.
According to the first report, El Tampoe did not announce that Cர்டrdoba Ruiz was carrying $ 62,770.
Evidence suggests that when the senator, elected by historic agreement, was subjected to X-ray control, airport officials identified the dollars as he was about to board a flight to Panama City with his final destination, Bogot.
Authorities say Cர்டrdoba entered Honduras on Saturday, May 21st. The case for the undeclared amount is in the possession of the Honduran State Attorney’s Office.
It is mandatory to declare foreign currency at every immigration level – regardless of country. After $ 10,000 for Colombia.
EL TIEMPO consulted on what Cordoba could legally face in Honduras and the limitations of administrative handling: declaring taxes on alleged currencies and paying fines, until he was arrested.
The Honduran chapter adds to the series of questions that have arisen against the elected senator in recent months.
Of these, his campaign for the Republican Congress is said to have financed the deprivation of liberties, which he categorically denied and described as “a trap”.
After these events, presidential candidate Gustavo Pedro asked C கோrdoba to withdraw from his campaign.
“I urge Pedro C கோrdoba to suspend all his activities within the campaign until the legal charges against him are resolved in good faith,” Pedro said at the time.
