Mexican ‘tiktoker’ shot dead outside his home

The Attorney General of Sinaloa state (Mexico) is investigating the murder of 21-year-old ‘influencer’ Carla Bardini, who was shot on September 20 on a street in the Tierra Blanca neighborhood of the city of Culiacan, local media reported. Report.

The state’s attorney general, Sara Bruna Quiñones, said there were grounds to consider the crime a femicide. “We registered it as a femme fatale as she was exposed and defenseless when the attack took place. We are conducting the investigation with utmost secrecy so as not to alert any potential or suspect,” he said.

According to the victim’s mother’s testimony, Pardini received a call on her cell phone last Tuesday night, prompting her to leave her home. Neighbors in the area say they heard several shots shortly after and called emergency services.

The lifeless body of the young woman was found near her residence. It is believed that the armed men shot him repeatedly and he died instantly. His remains were handed over to relatives and buried at the Jardins del Humaya Cemetery in Culiacan.

According to Maria Teresa Guerrera Ochoa, head of the Women’s Secretariat, Karla’s case marks the 14th murder of a woman in Sinaloa so far this year, according to El Financiro newspaper.

Karla Pardini is known for her TikTok profile where she has more than 84,000 followers and some 300,000 likes. He used to talk about comedy content, dance ‘trends’ and fashion and clothes. His last video uploaded to the platform shortly before his death has amassed over 970,000 views so far. After the news of his murder became public, his followers left him farewell messages on social media.
