A Florida man faces charges of kidnapping his girlfriend’s baby and using it as a human shield.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Brandon Douglas Leohner, 27, for allegedly leading law enforcement on a chase through a restaurant parking lot after he was reported to have kidnapped his child on Sept. 27.
Officers’ strong body camera footage shows Leonor holding the boy, who was wearing only diapers, as he confronts officers.
After refusing to hand over the child, the man was electrocuted and fell to the ground with the boy.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping, shielding a minor, resisting violence, abandoning a minor, flight and eluding, and reckless driving.
