Giants vs.

East Rutherford – Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants square off at MetLife Stadium as the NFC East rivals face off for the first time this year. New York needs an upset win to stay ahead of Washington and Seattle in the NFC playoff race while Philadelphia looks to finish with a playoff berth – the fifth time in the past six years that the Eagles have qualified for the postseason.

Philadelphia is off to an 11-1 start, the best in franchise history as the Eagles look to start 12-1 for the first time since the 2004 season. New York started 7-4-1, but the Giants are winless in three games and have only one win in their last five. Sunday marks the first time the two teams have met with seven or more wins since December 19, 2010 – also when “Miracle at the Meadowlands III” (DeSean Jackson Walk-off Punt Touchdown) happened.

The Giants had some good news before the inactive players were released as Saquon Barkley will play today. Originally doubtful with a neck injury, Barkley would try it out on this cold day with game time in the minus 40 degrees. Barkley has 144 rushing yards and 2.8 yards per carry over the last three games.
