The relationship between Nicolas Maduro’s government and Iran has been reaffirmed by a case that has kept Argentine officials confused and vigilant. Last weekend, a Boeing 747-300M, with YV3531 registration, flew the Venezuelan flag, mobilizing five Iranian citizens, according to foreign intelligence agencies.

Air travel agenda

It is known that the plane took off from Mexico and landed in Argentina on June 6. Two days later, on June 8, he attempted to land in Uruguay. But recognition there was denied, so he had to return to Argentina with auto parts, 14 Venezuelans and 5 Iranians.

What caught the attention of the authorities was the fact that the group, which is said to consist of 19 foreigners, is larger than officially announced.

Added to this contradiction was the high Iranian presence in Venezuela and the warning of intelligence agencies that discovered the presence of Hezbollah cells in Colombia.

EL TIEMPO investigated and established that the plane was spotted near Providence (Colombia) on June 4, according to international sites. It then sailed from Santiago de Guerrero, Mexico to Micvedia, Venezuela, on Sunday, June 5, at 8:11 p.m.

He arrived in the country on June 6 at 12:40 p.m. The sites did not book the flight to Argentina, but it ended up there. In addition, he built the Caracas-Tehran route on May 21, and is known to have landed in Moscow on May 25 after he flew over Azerbaijan.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard

“After entering (Argentina), organizations affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards received information from foreign organizations warning them that they were part of a group,” Argentine Defense Minister Anibal Fernandez said on Monday.

Unofficial sources confirm that the device is affiliated with Emtrasour, a subsidiary of Venezuelan airline Conviasa, against which the US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions.

Although 19 crew members were authorized to sleep at Ezeiza Airport, they could then leave Argentina and they could not afford the Boeing: “They were authorized to sleep and did not leave due to fuel shortages. The companies here do not want to charge it (fuel) because of the possible approval from the United States, ”added Minister Fernandes.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard?

The Argentine Israeli Association (DAIA) not only remembers the 1994 attack on the AMIA headquarters of the Argentine Jewish community, which killed 85 people and injured 300 others.

In a public statement they pointed out that the plane actually belonged to Mohan Air, and this was allowed, which led to the filing of a complaint, which led Federal Judge Federico Villana to order the retention of Iranian employees’ passports for “72 hours”.

Airport police were also instructed to report the movement of the Boeing 747.

Iranian names

Now, the defense minister is promising that the name of the plane’s pilot Gholamreza Ghasemi coincides with the name of a member of a group classified as terrorists by the United States, known as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The other Iranians arrested were Mohammed Kosrawiarak, Mahdi Moussali, Saeed Wali Jade and Abdolbashet Mohammed.

DAIA assures that this type of aircraft with that crew is endangering the whole of Argentina and South America.

Search and Investigation

For now, the Iranians, who are staying at a hotel near Plaza Central Canning Airport, have had their fingerprints taken to verify their identities against Interpol databases.

The move comes after an attack by Argentine federal forces.

Meanwhile, Venezuelan team members are waiting for a judge to decide whether to allow them to travel.

Chapter of Paraguay

What caught the attention of this conspiracy was that the same Boeing 747 that had not moved in Argentina moved through Paraguay last May. On that occasion he did not move the vehicle parts, but moved the cigarettes from the Tacabalera del Este SA (Taboza).

As revealed Time Exclusively, in 2014 the tobacco company merged with former President of Paraguay Horacio Cortez.

It was revealed at the time that the Colombian mafia, including the extinct FARC, was estimated to have embezzled $ 200 million a year through the illegal sale of the tobacco company’s Ibiza, Marine and Rumba brands.
