Chicago (WLS) – A 28-year-old USPS carrier was criminally sexually assaulted Saturday morning at approximately 9:15 a.m. at Complex 2800 of South Pulaski Road in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
Police said the victim was in her postal car when they found a man hiding inside.
CPD issued a community alert saying the suspect pulled her by the hair and ordered her to drive to a nearby parking lot. He then ordered the victim to sit in the back of the truck and undress. Police said the suspect hit her and stripped some of her clothes as he tried to flee through the back of the truck.
Police said the victim eventually managed to escape with the suspect and then drove her postal car. The abandoned truck was found a short time later in the 4500 block of West Marquette Road in West Lawn.

The victim was rushed to St. Anthony’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was released, according to the USPS.
The suspect is still at large and considered armed and dangerous, according to the USPS.
The warning stated that the suspect had multiple tattoos on his arms and chest and tattoos on the side of his head.

Postal officials said the bonus notice will be issued soon.
