Leaking after Leaking after Leaking He said it was only a matter of time, but now the most reliable source in the industry has revealed that Apple has no plans to release the most requested feature in the iPhone.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro concept showcases larger main cameras
In news that will kill the dreams of many longtime iPhone fans, industry display specialist Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), revealed that Touch ID has years before returning to the iPhone. This is despite repeated leaks that a new version of Touch ID will appear in the screen iPhone 14 Pro models this year.
“Under the display, Face ID comes to iPhone (16), under the display, Touch ID is not…” chirp Young, who has Unparalleled track record for Apple leaks.
While the former has been tilted for some time (with Young later confirming that the wormhole will still be Camera wanted), the latter is a colossal shock. Young himself even hinted at his January date approaching, saying it “doesn’t look like Touch ID this year” while Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman said Touch ID on screen tested But they didn’t make the iPhone 13 lineup. So seeing it canceled for the foreseeable future is amazing.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max schematic leaked
I guess Apple decided they were satisfied with the performance of Face ID after that Mask Focused Upgrade in iOS 15.4 And decided to cut costs. That’s a shame because the combination of dual biometrics (Touch ID wasn’t meant to replace Face ID) would have brought military security to the iPhone range.
Personally, it amazes me that Apple didn’t integrate Touch ID into the iPhone’s power button as it already did on the iPads. It’s a simple and elegant solution, that will tick a lot of boxes of practicality and usability and make a lot of iPhone fans happy.
But Young’s record strongly suggests that it is time to reset expectations. Whereas the iPhone 14 is basically a file Rework iPhone 13 (Just bloated), the iPhone 14 Pro will have a new designAnd the Developed chips and the Biggest camera upgrade in years – cost.
Will that be enough to calm those who dream of Touch ID? Maybe not, but they have to.
