Authorities in the neighboring country are searching for the culprits. The victim was shot Sunday afternoon in a lane south of Santa Marta, near the Diona Recreation Center in the Kyrgyz jurisdiction.
Local newspapers have reported that the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police’s intelligence unit is working to clarify the motives behind the Venezuelan crime.
He was arrested in January 2021 on charges of kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms, according to the company’s commander.
“This person was a member of the criminal group ‘Los Samos’ that was captured in 2021,” he said.
