Send Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins Kevin O’Connell said at his press conference Thursday that he is home after he reported feeling ill.
Cousins did not participate in the exercise of walking.
O’Connell said the team is still “working through” whether the cousins have COVID-19. Cousins, who were not vaccinated last season and thus got tested in 2021, missed the Packers’ Week 17 loss after testing positive in January. He also missed some time in training camp last summer, including a pre-season game, where he was in close contact with the reserve midfielder. Keelen Mund After Mond tested positive for the virus.
Players are no longer tested for COVID-19 unless they report symptoms.
“I haven’t received many updates, but I know he wasn’t feeling well early on,” O’Connell said in a live video feed of the press conference. “We have a process in place as we sent it home, and we’ll be following up on our operations internally. I’ll get an update to you guys as sort of a week goes by on Raider’s availability.”
Their cousins will have to spend five days in isolation if he tests positive for COVID-19.
The Vikings play in Las Vegas on Sunday.
