There’s still a huge mystery surrounding the sudden cessation of production for “Jersey Shore 2.0″… but we knew it was almost a miracle that the show was so close to filming at all given the acting and production hurdles that MTV faced in getting off the ground.
Our sources say the show’s new cast was brought to Atlantic City to prep for production last week…but there were some serious problems the producers had in finding the right group of people.
For example – we were told that a “2.0” relative was hoping to be 86’d after producers were alerted to some anti-gay and racist social media posts from a relative. However, our sources say that this was not the motivation for the temporary halt in production.
As for production issues… the show’s producers first wanted to put the actors in the original “Jersey Shore” home, but the city shut that down… citing the terrible reputation the premiere gave Seaside Heights.
Show-related sources tell us…although there are camera gear boxes removed from home This week, the show was not canceled. In fact, we’re told that show bosses are using the next few weeks to regroup with an eye on resuming production.
MTV is my mom specifically why they pulled the plug – at least temporarily – all they’re going to say is that the show is temporary on ice.
It remains to be seen exactly how the producers will do “2.0”, whether that’s with a new cast than planned, or maybe even a rebranding…but one thing is for sure, Team OG Polly DAnd the the situationAnd the JWowAnd the Snooki And a gang for sure It will not be set.
