The Horizon Forbidden West update adds a new game as well as an extremely challenging difficulty

The new Bonus Game Mode is accessed from within the base of Aloy’s home. It saves the player’s current game, allowing them to continue on the pre-set difficulty with all stats and inventory items in place. The update also brings a new hardcore mode.

Additional main features included in the patch are the ability to reset skills within the menu; new “SendPrepare to change the look of Aloy’s clothing while retaining her special abilities; new weapons, dyes, and face paint; and a new set of trophies.

Thursday’s announcement was accompanied by the first trailer for The call of the horizon from the mountain, a virtual reality game set in the Horizon universe. It will be a launch address for PlayStation VR2 Headsetfor which a release date has not yet been determined.
