100 Gecs Drop Second ‘10,000 Gecs’ Track ‘Doritos and Fritos’

100 jex They are back with a new song, “Doritos and Fritos”, the second show of their much-anticipated upcoming album, 10000 jx.

“Doritos and Fritos” does what 100 Gecs always do best, bridging the gaps between styles and eras while oscillating between old ’90s alternative rock—seriously, the bass line sounds straight out of Primus—and glowing, bubblegum pop. Lyrics are still totally disrespectful too, with Dylan Brady swinging about eating a burrito with Danny DeVito, while Laura is not a drone, “I went to France to get new pants / Went to Greece to get something to eat / He said, ‘Fuck, all What we have is Doritos and Fritos,”/ I said, “Then give me all those damned Doritos and Fritos!” “

Doritos and Fritos follows the 2021 single 100 Gecs, “me me me,” which arrived last november. Both songs will appear 10000 jxThe one that follows the duo’s celebration 2019 debut, 1000 jx. (The LP’s exact release date hasn’t been announced, though it’s expected to arrive this year.) Along with the release of “Mememe” and “Doritos and Fritos,” 100 Gecs teased several new songs on the album. Tour of North America last year, including the songs “Hollywood Baby”, “757” and “What That Smell?”

100 Gecs has a few festival dates lined up in the spring and summer, including groups at Coachella, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
