WAC Lighting of Port Washington, New York USA, has introduced the Duo, the 3-inch Dual-source LED Downlight (patent pending). WAC Lighting says that the Duo offers a powerful lumen output in a variety of color temperatures. The company designed and engineered the downlight for both new construction and remodeling applications,
While operating on a 120-volt system, the miniature recessed luminaire consumes 15 watts. According to WAC Lighting, both IC- and Non-IC rated models fit efficiently into ceilings with a thickness ranging from a one-half to one-inch. The Duo comes in four color temperatures including 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K. It delivers up to 920 lumens and has a CRI exceeding 90.The downlight features a White finished round trim design. Beam spreads range from 22 to 120 degrees.
The downlights can dim down to 10 percent with Triac dimmers. According to WAC Lighting, adjusting the wall dimmer changes the light from the Duo from bright to dim and from crisp white to warm white and from direct spot to indirect ambient all in one adjustment of the wall dimmer. So, unlike conventional downlights, the Duo’s brightness, color temperature, and light distribution are directly controlled via a standard Triac dimmer.
