Thorn Lighting announced the launch of Isaro Pro, an LED-based street light. The company made the die-cast aluminum, Isaro Pro to resist the elements and operate reliably even with physical impact and vibration. The Luminaire boasts a lifetime of 100,000 hours (at 25°C) and features an efficacy of up to 139lm/W. Control options for the street light include RF wireless. According to Thorn Lighting, Isaro Pro ensures years of dependable performance with a particularly low cost of ownership, making it perfect for new and retrofit projects.
Isaro Pro delivers light output of up to 9500lm, making it bright enough for minor roads, residential areas and car parks. Also, the company says that the optics prevent light pollution and minimize sky glow and disturbance to wildlife. With Thorn’s novel R-PEC optic, Isaro Pro provides optical flexibility with a choice of 14 light distributions. The company says that the R-PEC optic provides clear light with a minimal glare.
Isaro Pro Can Work on Residential Street, Pedestrian Crossing, or Busy Road
The Isaro Pro can reportedly work on a residential street, a busy road or a pedestrian crossing. Also, the Isaro Pro features an IP66 rating for ingress protection and IK09 rating for impact, as well as strong corrosion resistance.
Thorn says the internal components are easily accessed from above without tools. The luminaire is available pre-wired and an automatic disconnect function makes maintenance safe. Additionally, the company claims that ability to easily replace components makes the device future proof.
Bertrand Aveline, Global Product Manager Outdoor Road lighting commented, “Isaro Pro has it all. It’s great-looking, tough enough to be installed pretty much anywhere, and our unique optics mean its highly flexible. We’ve worked hard to achieve the right combination of reliability, efficiency, and performance to keep the cost of ownership really low, making it easier than ever to benefit from all the advantages of Thorn’s lighting technology.”
