Terralux of Longmont, Colorado USA, released the new SR308 and SR312 series of LED light engines. The SR308 and SR312 series products LED can serve as an upgrade for use in commercial wall sconces. The company says that they are a UL recognized component (UL 8750), making them suitable for OEM lighting makers to use in new fixtures. Terralux also pointed out that the new light engines are UL certified as LED Retrofit Kits (UL 1598C) for upgrading existing incandescent or ballasted compact fluorescent (CFL) lighting fixtures to LED.
“These new LED light engines are extremely versatile, dependable and efficacious,” said Paul Pohl, Terralux Product Manager. “All models are UL certified for factory or field installation, and can be mounted in any vertical or horizontal orientation. They’re suitable for use in sealed or unsealed fixtures, including outdoor listed and labeled wet location fixtures. All models have a 7-year warranty, even in non-stop, 24/7 commercial operation.”
The light engines reportedly provide up to 152 lumens per watt (lm/W), which translates to over 50% energy cost savings compared to compact fluorescent, and 80% energy cost savings compared to incandescent lights.According to Terralux, all the new models qualify for utility rebates because the new LED light engines are Energy Star certified.
The commercial grade light engines are available in five different lumen packages ranging from 850 to 2100 lms. They come with correlated color temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. They include universal 120-277V 0-10V dimming for additional control and energy savings potential.
