Silvair, a lighting control develop and a provider of qualified Bluetooth mesh, reported that with the help of its partners the company will broaden the range of lighting products supported by Silvair’s technology. Silvair reports that it became a technology provider for a manufacturer-direct commercial LED supplier, Demand Lighting. According to Silvair, Demand Lighting will utilize its interoperable lighting control solution to integrate the Bluetooth mesh networking standard into its range of luminaires for lighting retrofits.
“Demand Lighting is excited to be the first to offer this technology via the Silvair Platform to customers in the US,” said Marie McGrath, CEO of Demand Lighting. “Our customers will have access to a complete set of tools allowing them to wirelessly configure, control and manage their lighting environment in order to reduce their energy costs, manage and track assets as well as provide for the well being of their stakeholders. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to lighting via the Bluetooth mesh technology that will serve as a backbone for IT infrastructure.”
Silvair points out that lighting control component producers McWong and Murata plan to soon begin full production of the Silvair-empowered devices. They have scheduled the release of these products in the American market at the beginning of Q3 2018.
Silvair and Partners to Showcase Products Using Silvair Bluetooth mesh Technology
Also, lighting component makers Danlers, Fulham and the previously-mentioned McWong, plan to expand their lines of products utilizing Silvair’s technology. Silvair says it will present these devices at its booth #1027 in the Intelligent Lighting Pavilion during LIGHTFAIR® International 2018. Some of its partners will also present products using Silvair technology at their own booths — Fulham booth #602, McWong booth #3979.
According to Silvair, because of the firm’s support of the Bluetooth mesh ecosystem, LumEfficient, a luminaire producer targeting high-end LED solutions, plans to develop new lighting fixtures with McWong lighting components. LumEfficient’s products will be ready-to-use, interoperable solutions designed for smart lighting applications. Also, Ledeshi and Alphabet Lighting (LEDRAbrands), LED lighting solutions providers, will also use Silvair empowered components in their LED lighting fixtures.
“Having so many new and long-time partners deeply involved in the development of the interoperable ecosystem driven by the Bluetooth mesh technology is truly remarkable. It not only confirms that Bluetooth mesh standard is a highly desirable solution enabling cross-vendor interoperability but also gives us a glimpse on the future of smart lighting,” said Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair. “We cannot wait to present the expanded range of the new generation products empowered by Silvair’s technology at Lightfair International 2018. This will be a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the power of a lighting control solution based on the qualified Bluetooth mesh.”
