Osram Opto Semiconductor Debuts LED-based Headlamps, Opens Online Light Shop, and Reaches 25 Member Milestone in LLFY Network

Osram Opto Semiconductors (Osram) announced the debut of its new LED-based
automotive headlamps. The headlamps both use Osram’s Ostar LEDs. The company
has launched the Ostar Headlamp and will soon release the Ostar Headlamp Hot
Spot. The company says it plans to use the lamps for forward automotive lighting
applications such as: headlights, foglights, daytime running lights, and adaptive
front lighting systems (AFS).
Also, Osram announced the launch of its new Internet Light Shop, which sells
its full line of LED products. The company says it is designed for developers,
architects, lighting planners, universities, and private individuals who require
small quantities of these semiconductor products. Company

In other company news, Osram Opto Semiconductors announced that the LED Light
For You Network has reached 25 members since starting approximately 6 months
ago. Osram says that the main criteria for partner certification are core competence
and a commitment to LEDs for general illumination.
