EarthTronics, of Muskegon, Michigan introduced an efficient, LED Area Light Series for outdoor lighting applications. Potential uses of the area light series include wide-flood area illumination of parking lots and roadways for auto dealerships, campuses, as well as commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare and municipal facilities.
The outdoor luminaire is IP68 approved for outdoor wet applications, and the EarthTronics LED Area Light Series comes in 75- to 480-watt models in 4000K and 5000K color temperatures. Each unit delivers up to 57600 lumens. The fixtures use a combination of Lumiled LED chips with Meanwell drivers to provide a high quality and energy efficient lighting solution. For instance, the 75-watt, 4000K fixture delivers 9750 lumens, for efficacy of 130 lumens per watt (LPW).
The 70+ CRI fixture replaces a 250-watt HID model. The LED area lights can also replace high-pressure sodium and metal halide lights.
The EarthTronics LED Area Light Series comes with a durable aluminum alloy housing. The company says that the fixture with a slim design performs well in all climates including extreme temperatures ranging from -40°F to 113°F.
The luminaire has an L70 rated life of greater than 100,000 hours at 25°C.
The fixtures are powered by standard 100-277VAC. However, 200-480VAC operation is also available. Type II, III, IV, and V light distribution patterns are available, and a dusk to dawn sensor can be added at the time of installation.
According to EarthTronics, easily interchangeable mounting options include pole mount, slip fit, and trunnion (yoke). EarthTronics backs the new LED Area Light Series with a five-year standard warranty. A 10-year project warranty is also available. This UL/cUL listed product may be accepted for utility rebates in many markets.
