Luminis Introduces Second Generation of Prisma and Kronos Pendants with Improved Performance

Luminis of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, released the second generation of Prisma and Kronos pendants. The new products retain the fundamental design of their predecessors, but they feature enhanced performance and a more modernized appearance. The company says that the Prisma and Kronos families have proved popular with the specifier community. Now, Luminis says that with the improved technology, the new Prisma and Kronos deliver higher outputs and increased efficiency. Also, the families now feature a new sleek, smooth housing.

“We have completely re-engineered the families in order to maintain our position as the market leader for low bay and high bay products,” said Nicolas Cohen, Luminis president. “We have improved efficiency, performance and aesthetics and we can build and ship the products faster. The process has also enabled us to cut some costs in the process meaning we can offer more competitive pricing for our customers in many cases.”

Prisma Family Includes 12”, 16” and 22” Diameter Pendants

The Prisma family includes fourteen pendants that come in 12”, 16” and 22” diameters.  Also, two of the Kronos models are available with 12” diameters. Luminis reportedly designed the pendant luminaires with various mounting and suspension options along with options for diffusers or reflectors and various accessories.

Luxeon High Power

Light output for the second generation Prisma ranges from 1,000 delivered lumens up to 19,000 delivered lumens from the 22” models. The new Kronos can provide up to 6,000 lumens. All models have a standard 4000K color temperature, and 2700K, 3000K, and 3500K options are also available.

Both Prisma and Kronos product families boast passive convection designs, which extend their lifetimes, optimize the efficiency, and help the luminaires achieve a higher output than their predecessors. Projected lifetime of the products is about 125,000 hours. The luminaires are compatible with an optional DMX/RDM control that can dim to dark (0%).
