GlacialLight, the LED lighting division of GlacialTech Inc. of Taipei, Taiwan, has introduced the GL-BL190 High Bay Light.
The GL-BL 190 produces up to 23,000 lumens and is GlacialLight’s brightest bay light to date. The luminaire features a lightweight yet IP66 rugged outdoor-ready design. Beam shaping options include 70 and 120-degree lenses, as well as a 45 degree Lux Enhancer accessory that generates increased lux and throws.
At up to 23,000 lumens, Glacial Light points out that the GL-BL190 exceeds the lighting capabilities of standard 400W metal halide bay lights. It consumes just 185W of power. The high bay light boasts 124 lm/W efficacy. According to the company, 100 percent of its light is on target. So, it delivers much brighter illumination than tradition light sources with the same lumen output.
The GL-BL190 weighs just 3.9 KG, the most lightweight, high bay luminaire in its lighting class, the company claims.
The light weight makes for easier installation and cheaper shipping and freight costs. The GL-BL190 is IP66 rated waterproof and dustproof for outdoor installations.
The mounting and beam shaping options that are available for the luminaire allow it to be used in bay, flood, or even spot lighting applications. For high bay installations, it offers lamp shades in 60-degree and 120-degree versions to reduce glare and a redundant dual cable mount for extra safety. A mounting bracket is available with 180-degree adjustability for flood or spot lighting applications. Lenses are available with 120-degree or 70-degree beam angle. For a tighter beam with increased throw, the optional Lux Enhancer focuses the light and enhances the lux by 180% for a very powerful spotlight.
