Fulham Co., Inc., has released a comprehensive new line of DC Retrofit Engines as part of its new line of light engines for its Vizion LED DC Retrofit Kits. The new DC Retrofit light engines come in rectangular and round shapes, and boast lower power consumption and higher efficacy than competing products.
The new DC Retrofit Engines offer 0-10V dimming from 100 percent brightness down to just 10 percent brightness. The device operates at a universal voltage (120-277V) and produces Class 2 output. The light engines come in six configurations, including four 7.8-inch round retrofit kits that consume 9W, 13W,20W, and 28W and produce 1400 lm, 2115 lm, 2820 lm, and 4015 lm output respectively.
The other configurations include two 4×7-inch rectangular units that consume 9W and 20W while producing 1400 lm and 2820 lm respectively. These Vizion DC Retrofit Engines are useful for retrofitting wall and ceiling mounted luminaires with or without plastic or glass lenses. In fact, Fulham says that they can be used for most lighting installations that need a dimmable, preassembled driver and module in a compact form factor.
Dimmable LED Light Engines Provide More Light Using Less Power
“More and more customers are retrofitting existing luminaires to simplify getting LED lighting into their facilities. Therefore we are seeing a growing demand for LED retrofit kits, with special emphasis on energy efficiency,” said Edwin Reyes, Product Director, LED Light Sources, for Fulham. “These new Vizion DC Retrofit Engines deliver more light with less power, and their versatile design and dimmability gives our distribution and OEM partners new components they can adapt for any type of luminaire or application, including indoor and outdoor applications”
The DC Retrofit Engines have an EM connector on board for integrating emergency lighting systems. Fulham specified the Vizion LED DC Retrofit Kits to meet environmental standards such as California Title 24, and the kits are also Energy Star listed, making them eligible for utility rebates. Additionally, the kits are cULus classified. Fulham says it also creates custom designs of the kits for customers.
