Soraa reported that its lamps were installed at Dr. Pharmacy in Athens, Greece. Dr. Pharmacy, a high-end health and wellness and cosmetics store was created to bring its customers a truly unique experience. They wanted an atmosphere which fit the theme that health is directly related to wellness and happiness. To help them portray this, the company needed a type of light that supported the sale of their high-quality heath and cosmetics products in an immaculate environment that conveyed the essence of wellness and beauty.
SOLID, the company that designed and constructed the store worked with L4A who elected Soraa to give the space the look and feel they were seeking. Soraa lamps have a narrow and adjustable beam that enables the store to highlight products throughout the space, and create dramatic environments in areas in which cosmetics and beauty products are prominently showcased.
L4A selected Soraa MR16 and GU10 lamps to illuminate Dr. Pharmacy because their lamps reportedly produce the truest possible colors. Soraa lamps emit light in all colors of the visible spectrum from 400 to 700nm wavelength with no gaps. This full-color emission spectrum translates to very accurate color rendering with a CRI of 95 and deep red (R9) of 95.
Advantages of Soraa Lamps
Part of the reason for the color rendering accuracy is that unlike blue-based white LEDs without any violet emission, Soraa says its lamps have Violet-Emission 3-Phosphor (VP₃) LED technology to properly excite fluorescing brightening agents in objects including paper, cosmetics, and clothing.
Another advantage of Soraa’s LED technology that uses the company unique GaN on GaN™ LED structure which allows its LEDs to operate at currents that are more than five times as high as LEDs built on other materials. This high-current capability translates to a lot of light and a narrow beam from a very minuscule, single source.
Soraa says its LED lamps deliver crisp object definition that can show the texture and coloring throughout the entire environment. Also according to Soraa, its LED lamps give L4A the ability to emphasize the interior surfaces that matter most.
“There is no comparison to the quality of Soraa lamps. The flexibility of the different beam angles helped us to create drama and highlights throughout the store,” said Petros Kaisaris, L4A. “Soraa lamps give us the theatrical effect that we could only achieve with halogen lamps until now.”
