Author: SSLDesign News Staff

July 2, 2010... LedEngin, Inc. of Santa Clara, California USA, announced the immediate availability of LuxSpot(TM) Alta. The LuxSpot Alta is the latest addition to the LuxSpot family of LED modules. LuxSpot Alta reportedly delivers over 6000 Lux at 21 watts of power. LEDengin boasts that it therefore beats traditional 75W halogen MR16 lamps in performance at 10 times the service life. According to the company, LuxSpot Alta shares the same sleek, compact form as the standard LuxSpot with over double the lumens and lux.

The company says that the better performance opens up additional track and downlighting applications previously unattainable with LED solutions. The LuxSpot provides over 1200 lumens in 5500K (cool white) and 900 lumens in (2700K) warm white. LEDengin says that the high lumen output at 5500K makes LuxSpot Alta the product of choice for many retail, hospitality and commercial directional lighting applications.
