Toshiba LEDs to Light Up the Louvre Museum

July 1, 2010... Toshiba Corporation of Tokyo reports that it will light up the Louve Museum in Paris, France. Toshiba has agreed to partner with the Louve Museum, one of the world's most popular museums in its lighting renovation project. Under the agreement, Toshiba will provide LED lighting for some of the museums most visited public spaces. Additionally Toshiba will help with the renovation costs. The length of the partnership will be from June 30, 2010 to December 31, 2023.

Toshiba will provide the LED lighting for the Pyramid that greets visitors as they approach the museum, the Napoleon Court, and the Cour carree, the main entrance to the museum. Toshiba says that renovation and installation of the LED lighting in the Napoleon Court and the Pyramid will be completed within 2011, and the lighting installation and renovation in the Cour carree is expected to be completed within 2012.
